Estimated Losses From Hurricane Sandy
October 29, 2012 10:18 am
There will be damage. Some of the important oil refiners are offline and capacity is at risk. That could be a problem as oil and gas prices will be at risk of rising. Gasoline is the more probable problem here.
In addition, there are already loss estimates from KAC on how much this will cost in terms of damage and how much is estimated to be insured.
Update 2:347pm 10/29/12: U.S. Estimated losses/Damage ($M) $15,537.84 Insured: $8,316.11
****Correction – Estimates are in MILLIONS *****
