  • Kodak Wins Round in $1 Billion Patent Case Against Apple, RIM – Bloomberg – Eastman Kodak Co. (EK) won the latest round in its patent dispute with Apple Inc. (AAPL) and Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM), a victory with the potential to generate more than $1 billion in new licensing revenue for the camera company.
  • No-confidence vote defeats Canadian government – MarketWatch – Canada’s Conservative minority government collapsed Friday, with a no-confidence vote by opposition parties putting into motion a federal election to be held in May.<br />
    Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper The no-confidence vote came at the hands of the House of Commons amid accusations the Conservative government, led by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, has mismanaged the economy and lacks transparency. The Conservative government came into power in 2006.
  • Reactor Core May Be Leaking at Damaged Fukushima Plant – Bloomberg – The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said yesterday there may be some kind of leak from the reactor, causing high levels of radiation found in water in the basement of the reactor No. 3’s turbine building. Three workers were hospitalized after stepping in the water.
