World wide commodity prices have been on the rise. The charts below provide a good look at the year-to-date view of just how much of a rise has occurred. Some have seen moves 30, 40 or even 50%, year to date.
Looking at the same information from another angle, the table provides a quick glance at similar data.
Now, how do we take that information and see how these input prices are creating inflationary trends?
Just look below. For the most part, inflation is on the rise in most of the emerging markets. China was the latest to spook investors as they reported a 4.4% YoY increase in their CPI rate.
