President Obama – unFriended

If you have a Facebook account (and who doesn’t) you are probably aware of what it means to UN-Friend someone. That word is new to our vernacular, but made Oxfords “Word of the Year”
Somewhere between here and there, President Obama’s approval rating has gone south. Perhaps it was the stimulus plan that promised to “save or create” 4 million jobs.
Or, maybe it was the fact that we were promised a change and it is still business as usual.
Then again, perhaps it was the idea that we were supposed to be withdrawing American troops and now we have a new war in Afghanistan that we are up to our ears in.
Well, it also could be the cram-it-down-our-throats health care reform that is coming to a town near you.
Whatever it may be, he is no longer the love of the masses like he was just a few short months ago.

Or maybe he is just following the same historical pattern as most presidents whose approval rating generally declines over time and especially in their first year

If you base it on the economy, probably won't go higher next year. Reminds me of Carter somewhat
