Video: S&P 500 – Correction or Major Trend?

June 17, 2009 10:13 pm

With the S&P 500 falling to a fresh two-week low, the big question is this a correction, or the start of a major trend on the downside?

I have just finished watching a short video on Ino.com that details many of the key concerns that I have for this market.  If you have not seen any of the videos on Ino.com before you may enjoy this one.  This video does not require a plug-in.

The video is free to watch and there is no need to register. Let me know what you think…

Good video. Although we have seen this "trendbreak" with MACD "confirmation" twice before in this rally.. And it has cost me some coin every time. Although, this time I was ready for the break and the move down to 900. I don't think the dip buyers and the bulls are quite ready to give up the ghost. I suspect some bouncing off the 200 day MAs, and especially support off previous 880 swing lows. That said, am only 8% invested. The portfolio is mostly market neutral with a slight downward bias. Also slightly bearish of gold, and neutral to positive of FCX as a pairs trade. We shall see.

Using Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) paints a more bearish picture.
