Chart: Markets Cranky After Speech

The S&P 500 and the NASDAQ quickly moved lower, EXACTLY as President Obama finished his speech. Obviously, investors were looking for something that they did not get. Whether it was a tougher stance or a real set of initiatives that was hoped for, it was not to be heard today.

So far, much of the posturing has left many investors wanting to believe but most are still looking for a something tangible to hang their hat on in order to commit to equities.

The rubber meets the road…or 'meats'

We need something concrete but the president is still making speeches. If it keeps going like this (the speeches and not anything concrete), would it be fair to say to move into precious metals and out of the dollar?
